A stunning road visually and plenty to keep your interest. The road hugs the cliff face around the Cirque de Coobe Laval with some spectacular bends. OK if you are good with heights
the col de la machine is possiblly teh most firghtening road in france but the scenery is absolutely stunning if you have a stomach for heights. It goes North West from the col de Rousset and runs along the face of a cliff. The scary part is that you can see exactly how close to the edge the road is as it continues around the cliff face, and also you occasionally get to see the massive drop over the side, not helped by the low stone wall on the outside. Well worth a look just to say youve done it. If I ever go back Im going to go to the start, look from the viewing point, then turn round and go back, a truly stunning road but just too high for me!!!
