Nice rural/mountain route and one of the main acces roads to Maramures region. The scenery is pleasent and near Moisei is spectacular(the spread villages all over the mountain and in the south you can see Pietrosul Rodnei Peak).
The road surface is various from good quality aspahlt to some unpleasant undulation in the highest part(but only a few kilometers. It´s a good choice insted of DN18 Moisei-Iacobeni(it´s horrible, full of potholes, and undulation - accessible only for adventure bikes).
