Makes a nice circuit; Cat & Fiddle, left to Buxton, then A5004 and left again back to Macc. A5004 probably the best bit - interesting & scenic, not too busy, no cameras. B5470 nice but slow through villages.

Went to ride Cat & Fiddle for the first time today, then linked this road on afterwards. Think I enjoyed this even more - better surface & visibility & scenery, and obviously lack of average speed cameras. Immensly enjoyable, thoroughly recommended. I cant wait to come back and ride the A5004 again. (Links well onto A57 Snakes Pass or A537 Cat & Fiddle)

Great biking road in summer. The road seems to flow especially on the tight bends, they are great fun if you get your lines right. I s a shorter alternative to the Cat and Fiddle run with hardly any police presence. However, I don want to spoil everones fun but 3 years ago, summertime and going dusk, my mate was running in a new Triumph Thruxton only a week old and a huge red deer jumped out from a dropped bank side on a straight section - 2 miles from Whalley Bridge - he had no warning and he hit it at 60 mph, killed the deer, broke a few bones and wrote the bike off.

Great road with a good mix of tight twisties and long sweepers, with a belter of a straight slap bang in the middle. Agree with Gibbo - you have to stop in the layby for a view over the Goyt Valley - properly breathtaking Peak District stuff. As people have mentioned, there is a bend about half way which really tightens up on you, but otherwise the visibility is pretty good. Ive seen a few car drivers get over-enthusiastic and bin it here as well.

A great road which links in nicely with the Cat and Fiddle. It is equally good in both directions. Take a moment to stop on the lay-by, there is a spectacular view of the Goyt Valley with the Fernilee and Errwood reservoirs. Great photo op.

I went over this road at the weekend absorlutly belting bit of tarmac. Only on a 125cc at the moment but its still a great run. Better than the Cat and Fiddle in my opinion

Another fantastic Peak District road. Found this one by accident, linking the A537 to the A57, both ace roads as well in their own right. If the traffic is light, this road has it all, great corners, overtaking opportunities, fab scenery (if you get the chance to look!!). Get out there on a weekday out of main holiday season and I guarantee you will love it!

Known as the Derbyshire TT, only a short stretch but good fun and well worth a go (or two or three)

a great road, short enough to learn quickly yet long enough to frazzle your brain. it has a very different feel depending on which direction you ride it in, my preference is buxton to whaley bridge.there is a corner in the middle which is a 120 degree with superb vision which is my only knee down corner on the road. coupled with crests mid bend and a decreasing radius corner which caught me out at least the first ten times, it really is a great mix. there is even a decent straight in there, somewhere!

The A5004 between Buxton and Whaley Bridge is a spectacular road with virtually no police presence. A nice panoramic corner in the middle too with a slightly dodgy/torn surface. You can make it a triangular run, if at the first set of lights in Whaley you turn left onto the B5470 to Macclesfield - another good twisty road but with many villages. Once in Macclesfield, you go back out on the Cat & Fiddle to Buxton, then turn round and do it again.
